Air Force Station Carnicobar

1.25 MW Solar Power Plant is being constructed and developed at Air Force Station, Carnicobar. The power potential of 1.25 MW will be harnessed through Solar photovoltaic crystalline technology. The major project components include DC field, ACCB , String  Inverter, Inverter Duty Transformer, VCB, Weather monitoring station, SCADA, CCTV surveillance etc. DC field consists of 3206 nos. of Monocrystalline Photovoltaic panels (395Wp) erected on fixed tilt MMS trackers.  There are 5 nos. of string inverters with the rating of 250 kw each. The DC power will be received at String Inverter and then through ACCB it will be feed to Inverter Duty Transformer (0.800/11 kV rating, 1.25 MVA). It has necessary Protection like VCB (11 KV). The power from the Project is evacuated through 300 Meter, 11 KV HT Cable from plant side to existing injection point. The main highlight of the project is BESS container of (1 MVA) with battery capacity of 475 kwh and it is also equipped Energy Management System to make maximum use of Solar Power generation and better co-ordination of Solar Power and Battery storage power.
